The weather can never make up its mind this time of year! North Carolina mornings are dreadfully cold, while the afternoons become painfully hot. Some days I walk to my 8am class freezing and walk out sweating, I will never understand how the temperature can fluctuate that much in one day! Keep reading to learn my favorite pieces to wear during this confusing transition from Spring to Summer!
Cardigans– Cardigans are my go to because they keep me warm on those chilly mornings and are easy to take off when the afternoons heat up. Brandy Melville’s sweaters are warm, loose, comfy, and available in a variety of colors to match every outfit. Purchase them here! I wore my Brandy cardigan to the fair, and it was a perfect addition to my outfit to keep me warm in the chilly breeze!
Flowy Pants– Flowy pants make every outfit seem dressed up because they come in multiple patterns and styles. They are a personal favorite because not only are they trendy, but wearing them makes me feel like I’m still in my pajamas! They are so comfortable! I purchase mine from American Eagle and Lilly Pulitzer.
Rompers– Rompers are a staple in my wardrobe. When I don’t know what to wear, I always throw on a romper because they make me feel dressed up with absolutely no effort involved to pick out my outfit. Rompers can be purchased at a variety of locations, making them easily accessible and affordable. I’m so addicted to rompers that I even wore one to my sorority’s formal because they’re comfortable and practical for every occasion!
Don’t forget about pant rompers, they’re perfect for those chilly days. Pant rompers are a lot more comfortable than the typical pair of jeans, while being extra trendy! Mine below is from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target line.
White Pants– White pants never get enough credit because of the “rules” about when you can and can’t wear them. I never follow these restrictions and immediately pull out my white pants when the weather begins to warm up. It’s never too early or late to rock your favorite pair of white pants!
I hope you start wearing some of my fashion favorites as we transition into the heat of summer! They make picking out your morning outfit even easier.
